Dr. Abdelsalam Elaskary is currently maintaining a private practice limited to periodontics, dental implants and oral reconstruction in Alexandria, Egypt.  Dr. Elaskary is a former associate clinical professor at University of Florida, Jacksonville, and a visiting lecturer at University of New York.  He graduated from Alexandria School for Dental Medicine in 1986. Dr. Elaskary has trained in many reputable institutions worldwide such as the Health and Science Center in San Antonio, Tufts University in Boston, and Frankfurt University in Germany. 

Dr. Elaskary has recently introduced his new book “Reconstructive Aesthetic Implant Surgery”.  The book has detailed the science of "Aesthetic Implantology" from A-Z.  It presents a unique and complete manual for achieving predictable aesthetic results, emphasizing soft tissue aesthetics as a keystone in the nowadays modern implantology treatment. It presents a solid foundation for scientific research. The book is available in English, Portuguese  and Korean languages.

Dr. Elaskary focuses his research work towards the aesthetic aspect of oral implantology and soft tissue management around dental implants. His main interest is the reconstruction and regeneration of peri-implant soft tissue components. Styling the human face and redesigning the smile is becoming his main inertest in his international teaching path. He has authored more than fifteen international publications in this field.

Dr. Elaskary is an active member of many dental societies. He is a former secretary general of SENAME, Italian Implantology Association, Naples. He is also the former secretary general of ESOR, the Egyptian Society of Oral Rehabilitation, located in Cairo Egypt, an active member, fellow and the vice president of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) for Egypt, a board member of the Egyptian Scientific Society for Dental Implantologists, a fellow of the International Academy for Dental Facial Aesthetics, and the director of NYU Continuing Education Programs in Egypt.

Dr. Elaskary has been awarded for the best publication of the year 1999 (Ralph McKinney annual award) from the ICOI for his publications in the journal of implant dentistry.  He holds two US patents in the reconstruction of the inter-implant papillae no. El Askary Papilla Template -1999 # 60/158,166 and El Askary Papilla Insert - 1999 # 60/172,903.
